Harrisons Electrical Services (HES) is one of the largest corporate electrical contractors in the country, working on a variety of electrical projects, from multi-million-pound residential towers, large-scale domestic sites, to commercial and industrial projects. With over four decades in the industry, HES had gone through a period of steady growth, evolving from a small family-run business into a serious player in commercial construction.

The company needed to appeal to corporate clients who are used to dealing with multi-million-pound projects and wanted a brand that represented this.

The Brief: The brief was to create a brand that reflected where the business had developed to, over the past four decades. Whilst its family values were very much at its core, the new brand had to reflect a modern identity and the company’s capacity for large prestigious projects. It had to represent the company’s strength. And it also had to work in a way that allowed for scope to develop sub-brands as the Harrisons Group expands.

The Solution: The project started with a brand discovery workshop to understand Harrisons inside out. We challenged key stakeholders to think about their brand values, mission statement and company goals. Together we went through a process of deep evaluation which resulted in a brand book that went far beyond our client's expectations.

From there we developed the HES logo and visual identity, developing a bold typographic logo mark with parts removed from the central ‘E’, this was then paired with an electric teal colour palette. With echoes of electrical connections, a graphic pattern of sharp lines cuts across branded collateral.

Finally, a photoshoot across six locations provided bespoke brand imagery.The first phase of work for HES was completed by applying all aspects of their new brand to a website, which has resulted in a 60% increase in traffic over the first 2 quarters.

A modular system has been created to facilitate easy translation without the need for continual redesign - saving time, resources and money. The following images are a taste of collateral produced.


Flourish designed and developed the website in-house with functions for data capture, fully responsive and a CMS so the client can add or amend content.
